Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

• HARMONi: Phase 3 clinical study which was intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to placebo plus chemotherapy in patients with EGFR-mutated, locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who were previously treated with a 3rd generation EGFR TKI.

• HARMONi-3: Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to pembrolizumab combined with chemotherapy in patients with first-line metastatic NSCLC.

• HARMONi-7: Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab monotherapy compared to pembrolizumab monotherapy in patients with first-line metastatic NSCLC.

Colorectal Cancer (CRC)

• HARMONi-GI3: Phase 3 clinical study intended to evaluate ivonescimab in combination with chemotherapy compared with bevacizumab plus chemotherapy.

Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy not presently approved by any regulatory authority other than China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Summit is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and has additional offices in California, New Jersey, the UK, and Ireland.

Overview of Role:

Associate Director, Global logistics will lead and optimize logistics operations and warehousing (3PL’s) focusing on product security, quality compliance, and cost optimization. This role will manage carriers and transport partners, inventory at 3PL’s and global shipments ensuring timely, reliable delivery, while continuously improving the process. The role involves both tactical and strategic oversight, supplier relationship management and adherence to product security and regulatory standards across the entire supply chain.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute cold chain logistics strategies, with product security, chain of custody management and quality compliance as key drivers, while ensuring cost efficiency.
• Oversee end to end shipping (frozen and refrigerated), storage at 3PL’s, inventory control and chain of custody related matters, with shipments for both domestic and international needs.
• Supplier Management: Build relationships, work collaboratively with procurement on negotiating contracts with transportation partners, and 3PL management from a logistics perspective.
• Lead and execute shipping validation strategies for commercial shipping lanes.
• This role will drive process improvement initiatives to help streamline workflows, enhance efficiency and resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to regulations (like cGMP, GDP, others), manage risk assessments and develop mitigation plans. Implement policies and procedures via SOP’s and work instructions to improve logistics performance.
• Stay current with industry trends and evolving regulatory standards to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.
• The role may involve people management.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a pharmaceutical industry related field.

• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in global supply chain management and manufacturing operations in the pharmaceutical/ biotech area with specific experience in cold chain shipping/ logistics (refrigerated and frozen) and warehousing operations for commercial products

• Extensive experience in managing a logistics team
• Proven experience working at a strategic and tactical level with third-party manufacturers (CMOs) shipments and logistics providers, ensuring quality standards are met and on-time delivery is achieved.
• Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in the biotech industry (e.g., cGMP, GDP, shipping validation and other global regulations).
• Experience with establishing the logistics process for shipment requests, execution, tracking and governance, including SOP’s and work instructions as appropriate
• Strong experience in managing global teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Expertise in creating the shipping validation strategies, executing on the plan, and reviewing/ approving validation reports.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

The pay range for this role is $158,000-$185,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
