Associate Director, Talent Acquisition

Overview of Role:

The Associate Director of Talent Acquisition will lead full lifecycle recruiting efforts while driving strategic initiatives that shape the future of our talent strategy. This role is accountable for ensuring operational excellence, compliance, efficiency, and scalability across the Talent Acquisition function. As a key partner to senior leadership, the Associate Director will influence hiring strategies, optimize processes, and champion best practices to deliver exceptional talent outcomes.

Success in this role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring leaders, candidates, and external partners, while providing thought leadership and guidance to the recruiting team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to complex talent challenges.

Role and Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Support and execute Talent Acquisition programs and initiatives, such as candidate experience, global processes, systems implementations and processes, training, referral program, onboarding partnership, etc.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Manage your own requisition load, utilizing the Company’s ATS to track, update, and manage candidates
  • Deeply understand hiring needs; partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing and hiring plans
  • Function as a senior talent partner, building strong relationships with key stakeholders with internal partners and external vendors
  • Support and/or lead executive searches within the company, providing oversight of external search partners as needed
  • Comprehend and understand company compensation packages, benefits and offerings, as well as the Company’s employee value add proposition to successfully secure top talent
  • Act as strategic thought partner to HRBPs and functional hiring leaders around recruitment and hiring initiatives

Reporting & Projects

  • Support the execution of the talent acquisition strategy and ensure alignment with organizational goals and initiatives
  • Support the organization's employer brand, creating a compelling narrative to attract top talent and promote the company as an employer of choice
  • Leverage social media and marketing channels for recruitment efforts
  • Manage talent acquisition dashboard(s) and reports, updating with real time data and ensuring for accuracy & completeness
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recruitment metrics, providing insights and data-driven recommendations to improve TA processes and outcomes
  • Support Talent Acquisition compliance and audit activities, ensuring adherence to internal and external regulations, policies and best practices
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience with 6+ years in the Biotech/Pharma industry required
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 2+ years of people management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting senior leaders as a strategic talent partner
  • Strong R&D recruitment experience in a commercial organization strongly preferred
  • Experience closing candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance, and recruiting best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze/use metrics to identify areas of process improvement and efficiency
  • Experience building and managing TA related reports and dashboards with ability to analyze critically for trends and accuracy
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build relationships with senior level stakeholders and external partners
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition systems, processes, tools, and data governance
  • Keen sense of urgency and ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced deadline driven start-up environment?
  • Agility and ability to pivot priorities quickly
  • Team player, proactive and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done?
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail

The pay range for this role is $168,000-$180,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
